God Give Us Christian Homes!

One of my new favorite hymns is God Give Us Christian Homes. I found it haphazardly one day as I was flipping through the hymnal to find something to play. It doesn't have the prettiest melody, but the words are so good.

God, give us Christian homes!
Homes where the Bible is loved and taught,
Homes where the Master's will is sought,
Homes crowned with beauty Your love has wrought;
God, give us Christian homes;
God, give us Christian homes!

God, give us Christian homes!
Homes where the father is true and strong,
Homes that are free from the blight of wrong,
Homes that are joyous with love and song;
God, give us Christian homes;
God, give us Christian homes!

God, give us Christian homes!
Homes where the mother, in caring quest,
Strives to show others Your way is best,
Homes where the Lord is an honored guest;
God, give us Christian homes;
God, give us Christian homes!

God, give us Christian homes!
Homes where the children are led to know
Christ in His beauty who loves them so,
Homes where the altar fires burn and glow,
God, give us Christian homes;
God, give us Christian homes!

It's funny, I just happened to hear this song for the first time just about a week ago from some hymn sing! I like how you placed the pictures along with it!

I' never heard of that song, I'm glad you shared it. By the way, I think I may have visited your blog before, but if I haven't, you may want to know that I arrived here from the Musings of Me (Megan's) blog. If you'd like, stop by my blogspot.

Hey Naomi, this is Sable.If it is ok with you I would like to have your e-mail address. You could just comment it on my blog and if you would like I could not post it so that it would not be seen by anyone you would not want. I thought that would be a good way to talk. I can't wait till ya'll come to our church. I am so excited to meet you and your family. Talk to you later, Your sister in Christ, Sable ;D
